A). CuCd1Sn-UNS.C16500 Cadmium Tin Copper alloys Details
CuCd1Sn-UNS.C16500 Cadmium Tin Copper alloys
CuCd1Sn-UNS.C16500 Cadmium Tin Copper alloy offers an excellent and difficult to acquire combination of high tensile strength and good electrical conductivity. The nominal composition of 98.6% copper with cadmium and tin gives this alloy excellent strength and wear characteristics while retaining good thermal and electrical conductivity. It also has good corrosion resistance.
Due to the content of Fe and Sn, the C16500 slightly stronger than C16200.
Meanwhile, C16500 Cadmium Tin Copper has good hot workability. Its cold working properties are excellent, and the alloy draws readily. It work hardens somewhat more readily than pure copper and may require intermediate annealing through an extensive set of cold working operations.
Typical Application for CuCd1Sn-UNS.C16500 Cadmium Tin Copper alloys:
Electrical Industry: Resistance Welding Electrodes, Circuit Breaker Switches, Stud Bases for Power Transmitters, Electrical Conductor Material
